Reflecting on 2024 and Looking Ahead to 2025 with Healing After Infant Loss

Happy New Year: Reflecting on 2024 and Goals for 2025

Welcome to 2025! As we step into the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything that happened in 2024 and share some of my goals for the year ahead with Healing After Infant Loss.

2024 Highlights

2024 was a monumental year for me—it was the year I finally took the leap to launch Healing After Infant Loss. Although I only started creating content in October, it was a powerful three months filled with highlights, including:

Guest Conversations:

• Yari: A mental health counsellor who shared her insights on mental health and pregnancy loss in three amazing videos.

• Megan: Known as The Miscarriage Mentor, Megan shared her deeply personal story and advice.

• Carly: A specialist with myStoria who spoke about things to avoid when trying to conceive, including the surprising impact of microplastics.

Each conversation was eye-opening, and I’m so grateful to these women for sharing their wisdom and stories.

Fundraising Success:

I raised $310, which allowed me to begin taking seven courses related to grief work, holding space for pregnancy loss and abortion, and shadow work. I’ve completed two so far and plan to finish the rest early this year.

Content Stats:

•YouTube: In just three months, the channel garnered 422,000 views and reached 712 subscribers. One short received a staggering 170,000 views!

•Instagram: 165 followers

•TikTok: 82 followers and 2,700 likes

These numbers may not seem massive to some, but I’m proud of the impact we’re already making in such a short time.

Challenges in 2024

Launching Healing After Infant Loss came with its challenges:

Overcoming Fear: Interviewing people, especially those I’d never met, was terrifying. I’m still learning and improving my interview skills!

Emotional Weight: Listening to and sharing heartbreaking stories can be emotionally draining, but it’s a small price to pay to support others.

Negative Comments: Facing criticism about abortion and other topics has been tough, but I’m committed to creating a safe and supportive space.

2025 Goals

I’m excited to slow down the pace and focus on creating high-quality content and building a strong community in 2025. Here’s what I’m working on:

Content Creation

•Post twice a month on YouTube, alternating between personal videos and guest interviews.

•Create more practical videos, such as yoga, tapping, and sound baths.

•Grow my YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok audiences (goal: 10,000 YouTube subscribers).

•Offer free and donation-based resources like journal prompts, checklists, and meditations.

Community Support

•Launch group counselling sessions with Yari, a licensed counselor.

•Begin offering peer support sessions, creating a safe space to connect with others.

•Explore hosting day retreats and larger retreats focused on healing through yoga, journaling, sound baths, and more.

Future Projects

•Write two books: one about my own story and healing journey, and another sharing stories from other women.

•Raise funds to provide scholarships for counseling and retreats.

•Consider turning Healing After Infant Loss into a registered charity.

Final Reflections

Starting this platform was one of the most rewarding and brave decisions I’ve ever made. Healing After Infant Loss has already made an impact, and I’m determined to keep growing, learning, and helping others heal.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Whether you’ve watched a video, shared your story, or simply supported from afar, I appreciate you.

Let’s make 2025 a year of healing, connection, and growth together.

With love and compassion,

Rosie 🌸
